The National Employment Offender Network (NEON)

Inclusion manages NEON on behalf of the National Offender Management Service. NEON is a UK-based national group for organisations that both work with offenders, and are co-financed by NOMS and the European Social Fund. It has recently been established and meets quarterly. Membership is a mix of prime providers, their subcontractors, and representatives from key government departments. Regular bulletins are coordinated by Inclusion and sent to the group.

The NOMS ESF Co-Financing programme operates across all English regions. The underpinning principle is to fill in gaps in those existing services which concentrate on offenders accessing mainstream employment and skills services.

We are currently organising a NEON event on October 13th at The Nottingham Conference Centre.  It is open to all people with an interest in offender employment related issues.  If you would like to do a workshop, please get in touch: lydia.finnegan@cesi.org.uk
