Toolkit for Jail Reentry

The US Urban Institute's Justice Policy Centre and the US Department of Justice's Bureau of Justice Assistance have put together "The Elected Official's Toolkit for Jail Reentry".

The document highlights the importance of local official backing in prisoner renetry initiatives and gives an overview of the kinds of local and national organisations and government bodies an official can get support from for reentry programmes.  It underlines throughout, the benefit focus on this issue can bring to communties. 

It gives examples of successful programmes and "reentry champions" along with advice on how to get involved.
