A GREAT SUCCESS IN THE US
The EOEF team have just returned from Washington where they hosted the conference: "Inclusion through employment: US and EU prisoner Re-entry Policies and Practice". Their partners in organising this were The National Transitional Jobs Network.
The two days involved a packed and stimulating programme, the highlight of which was the US Attorney General, Eric Holder, addressing the conference on the morning of the second day. He made clear his commitment to helping ex-offenders reintegrate into society and chose the EOEF conference as the place to announce new federal funding packages which will be directed towards projects working with this hard to reach group.
